Primordial Storm

Project for 2-D Design, painting based on using split complimentary colors--Mine being Red-orange, Red-violet, and Green.

With this one I obviously got really into a sort of womb-like, perhaps birth/rebirth theme. No reason really, it's just what came to the paper when I started sketching.

I love this one, actually, I got some really awesome colors going. I don't think this will be my last time using the split comp. technique.

And an added bonus is that one guy at my table in the class casually mentioned wanting to buy this piece, so...We'll see where that leads!

I gotta sign this baby...Oh, also, the WIP version of this piece shall now be banished to my scraps file.
And I hope the camera didn't mess up the colors too badly. The top right corner should be a bit darker and more violet than it is now, but ...
